A Manhattan mainstay on the Upper West Side, Lincoln Center sets the stage for internationally acclaimed performers and prodigies. The perfect complement to this array of art forms lies just off stage-left, a culinary companion. Encased in glass, the Louvre-esque Lincoln Ristorante beacons art patrons to join them for a meal.
Executive Chef Jonathan Benno (awarded “The World Ambassador of White Truffles of Alba” last year ), puts a modern spin on Italian classics. “My mission is to translate traditional pan-Italian recipes for today’s New York,” Chef Benno tells IN New York Magazine . The reginette verdi al ragú Bolognese, for instance, features ruffled green pasta. “Reginette verdi is not only fun, it’s the perfect vehicle for a ragú,” he says, adding “a bit of chicken liver to the usual pork and beef, for a wonderfully meaty taste.”
The Alfus Group partnered with Patina Restaurant Group to place Lincoln’s Director of Private Dining & Events in December, 2012. Lincoln Ristorante is a culinary staple of New York City, in the heart of a cultural epicenter. Their doors are open daily for lunch, pre-theater, dinner and weekend brunch.
